What I do

Content is a crucial element for any brand. Every hospitality business and destination needs assured, intelligent content which will speak to target audiences. I create web content, and targeted press material. My writing credentials include a wealth of editorial, as well as creation of press material for launches and specific initiatives. My current brand engagement project for HertzUK marries client brief with my in-depth knowledge of Britain as a tourist destination. >>>

When hoteliers need a fresh, independent assessment, I am a ‘professional guest’. As a former reviewer of small hotels and B&Bs for The Guardian and Condé Nast Traveller, staying in hundreds of hotel rooms, I identify what hoteliers are doing right and where there is room for improvement. I can help create memorable style and spaces where visitors want to linger.
In a crowded marketplace, I bring valuable insights into the guest experience, enabling hoteliers to understand their operation better, attract new markets, increase visibility and extend booking season.

Are you so close to your business that you have lost sight of what makes it unique? Every independent business has stories of its own. I have been spotting, commissioning and writing stories for the national media for more than two decades – I know what engages a target market and how to make your stories work for you. I advise on how to maximise PR spend, or empower in-house staff to be more effective with media communications.

I create and deliver bespoke seminars and workshops for conferences and tourism summits. From a small in-house marketing team to an auditorium filled with hospitality business owners, I can tailor make an engaging, relevant and inspiring session.

Attracting media attention is often daunting for the small business owner. I work with individuals and small groups to debunk myths and demonstrate simple strategies for a mini-campaign or launch.
